2019 Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills

THE STORY
The Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is where it all began. In 1971 this was the first vineyard planted in what became the world-class, cool-climate Sta. Rita Hills appellation. This iconic vineyard now contains the oldest Pinot Noir vines in Santa Barbara County.
WINEMAKER NOTES
Our 2019 Pinot Noir from Sanford & Benedict Vineyard is deep, beautifully layered, and nuanced. Red Hots, forest floor, white pepper, and chanterelles all grace this spicey and sensual wine. The palate delivers earthy, spicy red berry flavors with a suave texture and a well-endowed finish. This wine is delicious now yet has the balance and structure to age gracefully for some time, and is a natural for richer fish dishes, roast chicken, and even game.
